Institutional Effectiveness Sub-Committees

Survey Development and Data Collection

Purpose: To coordinate and monitor survey administration and analysis.

 

Function:

  • Prepare schedule of all surveys' administration timelines.
  • Review surveys for appropriate validity and reliability.
  • Monitor survey questions used to avoid unnecessary duplication.
  • Assist college individuals/groups in the formation of non-commercial surveys.
  • Ensure that survey questions will elicit the appropriate type of data needed for decision making.
  • Identify data collection processes for each type of survey.
  • Schedule analysis and interpretation timelines for each type of survey.
  • Identify and invite key persons to analyze the data during a specific time period.
  • Prepare a final report of data collected, including recommendations for impact and follow-up procedures, where applicable.
  • Present data to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Provide summary assessment data that represent all survey responses and their degree of impact on the College.
  • Formally report on findings related to the above to appropriate personnel, upon request.

 

 

Integrated Marketing

Purpose: To coordinate the design, development, and review of Integrated Marketing.

 

Function:

·   Review and confirm with the each program director/deans their program goals and strategic direction.

·   Prepare an annual integrated marketing plan that represents Clarkson College systemically.

·   Review all academic program marketing plans for identification of progress and productivity as well as adjustment of any potentially unrealistic goals.

·   Serve as a student data resource to Academic Program Directors and the College, as needed.

·   Provide assessment data on marketing and promotion results to the Institutional Effectiveness Council for inclusion in their annual report

·   Maintain comprehensive data on student.

a)     Recruitment

b)     Selection

c)     Retention

d)     Diversity

·   Formally report on findings related to the above to appropriate personnel, upon request.

 

Academic Achievement Assessment

Purpose: Coordinate the design, development, and review of the Academic Achievement Assessment.

 

Function:

·   Develop an annual program review and assessment matrix.

·   Develop a course assessment matrix.

·   Review all academic achievement assessment plans (program review and assessment matrix) for identification of progress.

·   Meet regularly to share ideas concerning academic assessment.

·   Serve as mentors to faculty in the development, and implementation of assessment.

·   Provide program and course assessment results to the Institutional Effectiveness Council for inclusion in the annual report.

·   Formally report on findings related to the above to appropriate personnel upon request.

 

Institutional Review Board

Purpose: The purposes of the Clarkson College IRB are as follows:

a)     To conform to requirements of 45 CFR 46 & CFR, 50, 56, 97, 350.3 & 356.3 and attend to federal requirements for research projects.

b)     To review criteria related to rights, welfare and protection of research subjects recruited to participate in research activities (Proposed and ongoing studies).

 

Function:

·   Prior to any proposal being accepted, the IRB chair will verify that the application meets the criteria.

·   Review applications submitted to the IRB with specific attention to the components in the application that address.

·   Purpose of the study.

·   Description of the population.

·   Description of subject selection.

·   Description of study sites.

·   Methods and procedures for data collection.

·   Process and procedures of informed consent.

·   Documentation of informed consent.

·   Compensation for participants.

·   Operate according to the procedures stated in 45 and 46 CFR and the respective CFRs (regulations).

·   Provide IRB data to the Institutional Effectiveness Council for inclusion in the annual report.

·   Formally report on findings related to the above to appropriate personnel upon request.

 

Special Projects

Purpose: Coordinate the development and review of Special Projects at Clarkson College.

 

Function:

  • Review all special projects for identification of progress.
  • Provide Special Project results to the Institutional Effectiveness Council for inclusion in the annual report.
  • Formally report on findings related to the above to appropriate personnel upon request.
