  PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  ADMISSIONS
Answer phones, data entry, opening and organizing transcripts and other mail, filing, greeting visitors to the college including prospective students, campus tours as needed. Must understand the importance of confidentiality. 1 position.

  BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
Clean manikins, prepare Instructors’ packets and equipment, entering data, type up certification cards. Computer experience in Word and Excel required for data entry work. 7-10 hours per week. 2 positions.

  BOOKSTORE
Work at the campus bookstore. Stock books, work with customers, run the cash register, stock shelves with food, pop and clothes, and answer phone calls. 3 positions

  EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AT THE NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER
This position will assist with the Thank You program by printing Thank You’s and envelopes, attaching medallions and redeeming medallions for gift certificates. Will also perform general office duties such as filing, typing, setting up information manuals, copying, prepare mailings, enter immunization data and fit test data in Employee Health, other duties as assigned. 2 positions.

  THE FAMILY PLACE DAYCARE
Acts as a Teacher’s Aide. Locates and gathers supplies. Gets snack items from the kitchen. Supervises children in the bathroom, on the playground, or in the lunchroom. May read stories, help with art projects, etc. Possibly one-on-one with a child that is in need of extra attention. Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 7 positions

  INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Work in the Information Services Department to maintain PC inventory database, software licensing inventory and develop minor database projects as assigned. Assist IS staff in setting up, maintaining and servicing of computers throughout Clarkson College. Provide support to computer labs and assist Help Desk personnel with support calls. Provide administrative assistance to the IS staff, including organizing and filing documents as needed. 1 position beginning in the Fall 2008 semester.

  OFFICE OF SERVICE-LEARNING
Work with elementary students and occasionally perform office duties at local elementary schools. Duties may include tutoring and/or mentoring students as well as administrative responsibilities. Work hours can be arranged around class schedules. Must provide your own transportation, if needed, to the elementary schools. 2 positions.

  PERSONNEL OFFICE AT THE NEBRASKA MEDICAL CENTER
This position involves general office duties such as: filing, putting together nursing packets, help support the recruiters and the front desk, special projects as assigned. 1 position

  PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Work in the Professional Development area on the Lower Level. This position involves general office duties: copy, file, data entry, create forms, create and maintain databases, answer phones, compile notebooks, mass mailings, tally evaluations and other projects as assigned. 1 position.

  STUDENT CENTER
Need students willing to help in the following areas:
  • Event planning; set up and tear down of tables and chairs in Howard Hall/Student Center.
  • Maintaining appearance of Student Center facilities to include upkeep of food vendor area and fitness room.
  • Intramurals; organize and facilitate intramural programs for Clarkson College students.
  • Student Activities Representatives-attend student activities meetings and help with events.

4 positions. These positions will start in the Fall 2008 semester.
