Clarkson
College welcomes applications from students who have been educated in another
country who meet the admission requirements established by the College. An F-1 Visa will
not be issued for students wishing to enroll in any of our on-line programs. The
student must follow all application and payment procedures in order to enroll
at Clarkson College. If you do not understand any of the outlined procedures,
contact the Admissions
office.
Applying for admission and process to register for
classes:
1.
Apply for admission and submit all required
application materials specific to your program of interest. Please note the
requirements for your intended area of study found in their entirety here. However,
the following items may be of specific interest to international students:

Transcripts:
Official transcripts are required from all educational institutions attended or
currently attending. Transcripts from all institutions outside the U.S. must be
official, translated to English and credentialed. You may choose from one of
the following agencies to have your transcripts evaluated: World
Education Services, International Education
Research Foundation or Educational Credential
Evaluators Inc. Transcripts will not be accepted unless they have been
evaluated.
· English Proficiency: This requirement applies to all individuals whose first
language is not English. Each student must meet one of the following:

Official
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score (Minimum of 100 total score
on the TOEFL iBT, minimum of 250 total score Computer-based TOEFL, or minimum
of 600 total score on the paper-based TOEFL)
·
ACT
English score of 20 or higher
·
Graduation
from an accredited US High School
·
U.S.
GED English score of 500 or equivalent
·
Bachelor's
or higher level degree from a U.S. accredited college or university.
·
All
application materials must arrive at the College prior to the application
deadline. Application deadlines are listed here.
If you are enrolling in a
program that does not have an application deadline, there are special
application deadlines for international students to be sure that your
transition to Clarkson College is a smooth one. Those deadlines are as follows:

To begin in the Fall semester - June 1
·
To begin in the Spring semester - October 1
·
To begin in the Summer Semester - March 1
2.
If you are accepted into one of the programs offered
at Clarkson College, you will be sent an acceptance letter and packet. You must
complete the confirmation form and submit the enrollment fee within 30 days of
your acceptance to reserve your spot in the program.
3.
If
you are an on-campus student who will be issued an I-20, you will need to provide
a Statement
of Financial Support form (PDF format) and supporting documentation
from a bank or financial institution of the financial sponsor as outlined in
the College's International Student I-20 procedures.
4.
An I-20 is issued if you are enrolling in an
on-campus program and meet all necessary requirements.
5.
If you will be taking classes on campus, you must
complete all health
and safety requirements for the program that you have been accepted to
prior to enrolling. These requirements must be fulfilled at a health care
facility in the United States.
6.
You must submit a signed Statement
of Financial Responsibility form (PDF format) to the
Student Accounts Office prior to the first day of the term.
7.
With all of the required paperwork on file, you may
register for classes. You will follow the registration procedure specific to
your program of interest.
Payment
of Tuition and Fees:
International students are required to make advance
payment for all charges of tuition, fees and on-campus housing (if applicable),
each semester in which the student is enrolled at Clarkson College. As an
international student, your payment must be received by the Clarkson College
Student Accounts Office by the 4th day of the semester. If your account
is not paid in full by the due date, you will be dropped from all courses on
the 5th day of the semester.
Payment must be made in U.S. dollars. Clarkson
College accepts payment by cash, electronic funds transfer, credit card (VISA,
Mastercard, Discover and American Express) and U.S. Postal Service money order
only.
International students must make payments directly
to Clarkson College. Third party billing or alternative payment arrangements
are not available to International Students.
All International
Students (on-campus and online) must submit a signed Statement
of Financial Responsibility form (PDF format) to the Student Accounts Office
prior to the first day of the first term in which the student enrolls at
Clarkson College.
On-campus
International Students who are entering the United States for the first time
may be required to pay a SEVIS fee. This fee is paid directly to SEVIS. More
information can be found on the SEVIS Web site.
