"It was August, 1965. My parents came to graduation
and I bought my first car, a '65 avocado green convertible Mustang. Now
let me think, what was more exciting to a young girl with the world at
her feet. Now in 2008, the Mustang is long gone, but my nursing career
has spanned more than four decades. And what a career it has been and I
am thankful for the education I received at Clarkson and for the support from
my family.
In 1988, at the 100-year event, I received the
Distinguished Alumna Award. I came back to Clarkson and spoke at the
meeting, enjoyed lots of festivities. That was a real treat for me."

"One of my Clarkson memories from the class of '67 are
that we got all the food we wanted at breakfast, lunch and dinner because it
was included in our tuition. The hospital cafeteria had excellent
chow. You could go back again for seconds and unlimited everything. I
came from a family where my mother didn't enjoy cooking, and I was really
happy with the wonderful meals and desserts! It is amazing that I
remained so slim during training."
