Introduction
Clarkson College offers an online Master degree of Health Care Administration (MHA) that meets specific professional goals of graduate students. In order to complete the MHA program at Clarkson College, students must successfully complete 36 graduate semester hours. 

  

Outcomes 

Upon the completion of the Master degree in Health Care Administration, graduates will: 

  1. demonstrate professional, responsible and innovative leadership skills, both in traditional and non-traditional settings.
  2. create a foundation for leadership to analyze and propose solutions to complex business problems.
  3. analyze, synthesize and evaluate theoretical knowledge necessary to be prepared for leadership positions in the health care setting.
  4. evaluate strategies based on concepts of leadership and management theory.
  5. integrate cultural, economic, ethical, legal and professional standards of health care business in a leadership role.

  

Online Curriculum 

The Clarkson College online Master's degree is designed to be a flexible learning environment. Internet-based instruction offers interactive learning opportunities and comprehensive access to information and resources. Dedicated faculty are focused on student learning, which helps make online learning a productive and rewarding experience. 

  

To complete an MHA degree at Clarkson College, students must successfully complete a total of 36 semester hours. These hours must be distributed as follows: 

  • Major Requirement Courses = 33 semester hours
  • Culmination Experience = 3 semester hours

  

Service-Learning and Community Service Graduation Requirements 

15 hours (11 Service-Learning)* of Clarkson College Service hours must be completed prior to graduation. Graduates who do not complete the required number of Service hours will not receive diplomas or transcripts, until the hours have been completed. *Note: Service hours accrued beyond the minimum number of required service hours can be applied toward the requirements for the Maltese Cross Certificate or Medal.
