INTERLIBRARY LOAN: How much does it cost to get an interlibrary loan?
The cost to you for obtaining materials from another library is usually $1, but can be as much as $15 (more if rush service is requested). Anyone requesting a loan should stipulate a "maximum cost" on the ILL form. If time is an issue, it is wise to indicate a $12 or $15 minimum. This is because library staff always attempt to obtain the most inexpensive loan possible, whether you indicate $1 maximum or not. If you indicate a $1 maximum, we have to get in touch with you via email before requesting a loan that costs more.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN: How long will it take to get an interlibrary loan?
Clarkson College always attempts to obtain an interlibrary loan in the shortest time possible. However, due to shipping delays, hard to find items or large numbers of ILL requests, it may take two weeks to receive an ILL. Articles received via e-mail tend to be much faster. However, it's always a good idea to submit your ILL requests as soon as possible.

INTERLIBRARY LOAN: Can I request rush delivery?
Rush services are sometimes available, but fees are usually applied to these requests. Rush fees may range from $5-$20 and are added to the usual cost of the article. Although some items may be obtained the same day, a 24-hour turnaround should be allowed for rush items. Rush services are only available MondayFriday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
