Emergency Notification System Instructions

In an ongoing effort to better disseminate information during campus
emergencies, Clarkson College, in
collaboration with UNMC, has implemented the e2Campus Notification System. Notifications will only be sent in the case of a potentially life
threatening circumstance. No advertising or
non-emergency messages will be sent. To receive these emergency messages, you
must be registered.
The alerts are delivered via the following methods:
- Mobile
Phone (as text messages)
- E-mail
- Text
Pager
Please Note:
- This
service is completely voluntary.
- You
will need to register at the start of each fall semester.
- You
are responsible for messaging charges from your wireless service provider(s).
- You
will not receive messages for which you did not register.
- Your
information is not shared with nor sold to third parties.
Instructions...
1.
Please make sure your cell phone is on.
2.
Bring up a browser on your computer (IE, Firefox, etc).
3.
Log onto IQ.Web and Select the E2Campus link on the left side
of your browser to be taken to the registration page.
4.
Navigate down to the "Sign up for Free" portion of the page.
5.
Fill out the fields provided for a username, last name, first
name, a password that you create, and
then verify the password.
6.
Select the Clarkson
College GROUP.
7.
Enter your mobile phone number then select your cell phone
carrier from the drop down list.
8.
After you complete the form, click "Create Account".
9.
Your cell phone will receive a text message similar to:
"From gateway@gw.omnilert.net"

Code: xxxx (x's will represent numbers)
10.
Your browser will display this image. Type the code shown on your mobile phone
into the space as shown below (see arrow) then click the "Validate" button.
11.
After you enter your code, your browser will display a screen
showing that you have successfully signed up (see below).
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
1.
You may add an additional cell phone to your account (up to a
total of 2) for a parent, or spouse, etc. Simply click the "login" link on this
page (see arrow above). Log into your
newly created account, click the Services tab and repeat step #8 above. Please remember to coordinate with your
parent or spouse on any secondary cell phone additions to your account as they
will receive a message requesting confirmation.

You may also add campus text pagers to
your UNMC/Clarkson College e2Campus account instead
of cell phones. You must identify
them as a cell phone as a notification means.
To do so, repeat step #8 above and simply enter your 402888xxx pager
number and select ATS Beep as the
carrier. Then click "Add". Your pager will receive a text
message similar to:
"From gateway@gw.omnilert.net"

Your browser will display the same
screen as in step #11 on page 2. Type the code shown on your pager into the
space as shown then click the "Validate" button. After you enter your code, your browser will display a screen
showing that you have successfully signed up.
3.
In addition to cell phones and
pagers, you may also add up to 2 email addresses to your UNMC/Clarkson College e2Campus
account. Log into e2Campus. Click the "Services" tab. Add the email address in the space provided
(see arrow below) and click the "add" button.
This will generate an email message to that email address.
4.
Go into that email account's in-box. You should see an email from e2Campus (See example below).
5.
Open the email and follow the instructions (click on the link
in the email to validate).
6.
Next, you will see the following screen on your browser
showing that your email address has been successfully verified (see below).
7.
To add another email address, log in again, go to the Services
tab and add another email address.
8.
You can log into the UNMC/Clarkson College e2campus Emergency
Notification System at anytime to make modifications to your account.
