Clarkson
College recognizes that all students do not have the opportunity to give up
and/or move to campus to continue their education. For this reason, Clarkson
College offers the opportunity for working adults to complete degree programs
through a variety of delivery methods including Online Education. Clarkson
College offers Online Education courses throughout the year.
Courses
are organized into 15-week semesters (Fall and Spring), one 12-week Summer
Semester, and 6-week courses. Check with your academic advisor to see if an
Online Education is right for you.
Equipment Requirements
Clarkson
College online education students are required to have specific equipment
ensuring compatibility and power to handle projects and tasks.
Web Mail Account
Upon registration
you will receive an email account with Clarkson College. It is very important
that you check this account daily as departments and faculty at Clarkson
College will only send email messages to this account.
Book Ordering
Online
students are responsible for ordering their textbooks and course packs each
semester from the Campus Corner at www.clarksonbooks.com. Students
are encouraged to order their textbooks at least two weeks before the first day
of the semester.
Test Proctor
The
Testing Center is the test proctor by default for all students enrolled at
Clarkson College. This is an optional service provided as a courtesy to
students taking online courses that require a test proctor.
Clarkson College view scholastic honesty as a reflection of a student's
personal integrity. Therefore, all students are required and expected to
maintain the highest standard of scholastic honesty in the preparation of all
work and examinations.
Test Proctor Forms
Students
enrolled in online courses that require proctoring services, who are unable to
use our local facility, must submit
a Test Proctor Change Form which is due the first week of classes. The form and
detailed instructions are available on pages 5 and 15 of the Online Manual. The
Test Proctor Change Form will be kept on file in the office of the Coordinator
of Online Education. This form must be updated when the test proctor
information changes or the form is updated.
Online Education Manual
Much of
the information you will need to know to get started with the Online Education
programs can be found in the Online Education
section of this site or in the Online
Education Manual (PDF format).
