A Higher Degree of Credit Transfer
Admission
to the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging (MI) program is open to ARRT
registered technologists and/or board eligible graduates of a JRCERT accredited
program in Radiologic Technology. We transfer 44 credit hours of RT coursework
from JRCERT accredited institutions, plus we transfer a generous amount of
general education credits from regionally accredited institutions.

With our two-plus-two option leading you to a
Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging, you can transfer the full 70 credit
hours earned for the Associate
of Science in Radiologic Technology and apply them to the 128 credit hours
needed to complete a bachelor's degree.
Clarkson
College is now offering a PACS Administration
specialization within our Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging program.
If you are looking to develop your skills in the area of PACS, this option is
for you. For the student who desires to go into a management or supervisory
career, Clarkson College also offers a Management
option within our Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging program.
Curriculum Requirements
Admission
to the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging Program is limited to ARRT
Registered Technologists (Radiography), board-eligible graduates of a JRCERT
Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology, and/or current matriculating
Clarkson College Radiologic Technology students. Board-eligible students must
provide proof of certification from the ARRT within one year to remain in the
program.
In order
to complete the Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging (MI) degree at Clarkson
College, students must successfully complete a total of 126 semester hours. The
hours must be distributed as follows:
- General Education Courses = 42-46 semester hours (The following courses
compose the 26 hours: Anatomy, College Algebra, Introduction to Computers,
English Composition I & II, Physiology and nine semester hours of Core
Curriculum. Each of these courses needs to be completed with a "C" or
above.)
- General education Courses = 23-25 semester hours
- Support Courses = 6-8
semester hours (at least 4 semester hours of Anatomy and four semester
hours of Physiology)
- Previous RT Coursework = 44 semester hours
- Medical Imaging Major Courses = 12 semester hours
- Medical Imaging Elective Courses = 18 semester hours

Service Learning and Community
Service Graduation Requirements
15 hours
(11 Service Learning)* of Clarkson College Service hours must be completed
prior to graduation. Graduates who do not complete the required number of
Service hours will not receive diplomas or transcripts, until the hours have
been completed. *Note: Service hours
accrued beyond the minimum number of required service hours can be applied
toward the requirements for the Maltese Cross Certificate or Medal.
Advanced Standing Credit
A maximum
of six credit hours may be given for advanced standing credit to Registered
Technologists who have successfully completed post primary certifications in
advanced modalities.

Students
must meet the criteria for entrance into the College prior to application to
