Upon completion of this
program, all BSN option graduates will demonstrate the ability to
operationalize nursing as the human science of caring. In addition, graduates
will be able to do the following:
- Evaluate professional nurse caring behaviors
in the delivery of holistic health care to individuals, families and
groups across the lifespan.
- Exemplify characteristics of leadership,
scholarship and excellence in the practice of professional nursing.
- Synthesize concepts of holistic health in the
delivery of professional nurse caring to individuals, families and groups
across the lifespan.
- Provide effective professional nurse caring to
diverse individuals, families and groups across the lifespan.
- Creatively formulate effective clinical
judgments, based on concepts of professional nurse caring for individuals,
families and groups across the lifespan.
Upon graduation, students
are prepared to practice in a variety of settings, both independently and
collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines. Graduates from the
Baccalaureate Nursing program have a solid preparation for graduate studies in
nursing and are encouraged to pursue graduate education as one means of
lifelong learning.
Bachelor of Science in
Nursing degree graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure
Examination (NCLEX) for Registered Nurses.
