Application Procedure

Candidates
must complete a Clarkson College application for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) program.
·
Must
have official unconditional acceptance to enroll in the BSN program.
·
Complete
the Gateway to Success Minority Nursing Scholarship application and return it to
the Student Financial Services Department no later than April 1.
·
Submit
two letters of reference to the Student Financial Services Department with your
application (no later than April 1). Letters must attest to your academic
abilities, character and integrity. They may be written by teachers,
professors, advisors, guidance counselors or work supervisors.
·
Submit
an essay answering, "In What Ways Can a Minority Professional Nurse Contribute
to the Betterment of the Profession and Society?". Essays should be two to
three typed, double-spaced pages in length and must be received at the Student
Financial Services Department no later than April 1.
·
Submit
a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Federal Processing
Center before April 1. The Clarkson College Student Financial Services staff
can help you complete your FAFSA.
Application Deadline
The scholarship
application and all supporting documents must be received in the Clarkson College
Student Financial Services Department no later than 5 p.m. on April 1.
