The Gateway to Success Minority Student Nursing Scholarship is renewable for four years as long as the following criteria are met: 

·         Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average at Clarkson College. 

·         Maintain full-time (at least 12 credit hours) enrollment in each Fall and Spring semester. Summer enrollment is not covered by the scholarship. Students cannot take clinical nursing courses, their companion theory nursing courses or nursing seminar courses during the summer. 

·         Meet the eligibility requirements for hire at The Nebraska Medical Center including a criminal background check and drug screen. 

·         Complete the Summer Internship Program at The Nebraska Medical Center within the 12-week summer session. 

·         Continue to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Clarkson College and be actively enrolled in nursing major courses. 

·         Complete a new FAFSA form prior to the beginning of each academic year. 

  

Failure to meet any of the above criteria may lead to the cancellation of the scholarship.
