Dr.
Andreia Nebel grew up in Casper, Wyo. and moved to Omaha, Neb. in 1999. She
earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Human Development from
Montana State University - Bozeman, graduating in 1999 and went on to earn
her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University, graduating in
2002. She has also achieved certification in Functional Capacity evaluations
and is a certified Clinical Instructor.

At Clarkson College,
Dr. Nebel is the director and an assistant professor in the PTA program. Her
teaching assignments include: PTA 125 Clinical Practicum I, PTA 110 Basic
Skills, PTA 205 Pathophysiology, PTA 210 Therapeutic Modalities II, and PTA
235 Therapeutic Exercise III, as well as other selected courses. Dr. Nebel
has been teaching at the College since the summer of 2003.
Dr.
Nebel's clinical background includes pediatrics, outpatient orthopedics and
industrial wellness with current practice in geriatrics. During her career,
she has had the opportunity to work with a wide range of patient populations
and has always had a passion for teaching.
Dr.
Nebel is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association
(APTA), where she is a member of the geriatrics section. She is also the
Nebraska Student Special Interest Group liaison for the Nebraska Physical
Therapy Association (NPTA). She is involved continually with programs to
fight childhood obesity, such as Healthy Families, and is involved annually with
the Special Olympics.
Future
plans include additional community outreach for children with obesity and
continued development of community-based wellness and health education
programs.

Natalie
Dowty earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and her Bachelor of
Arts in Natural Science at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She received
her Master of Science in Health Education and a graduate certificate of
Gerontology at University of Nebraska at Omaha. She completed her Masters of
Physical Therapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

She is currently working toward her Doctorate in
Education at the College of Saint Mary.
At
Clarkson College, Natalie serves as an Associate Professor in the Physical
Therapist Assistant Program. Her teaching areas include therapeutic exercise,
exercise physiology, professionalism, neurological rehabilitation, wellness
and psycho-social aspects of healthcare practice.
Natalie
is the president and founder of Integrative Wellness, Inc., Physical
Therapy and Consulting, where she provides physical therapy services based on
a mind-body model and a wellness approach to rehabilitation. She provides
presentations, individual and small group consultation and coaching in
content areas related to stress management, mind-body wellness, health
promotion, fitness, rehabilitation, personal empowerment and professional
enrichment.
Natalie
is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She
currently serves as Adjunct Faculty in the Health Promotion Management
graduate program at Methodist College, where she also acts as a faculty
advisor for thesis and capstone students in health promotion.
The
future includes plans to continue to pursue interests in mind-body wellness
through clinical practice and graduate study. Areas of research interest
include: academic professionalism, utilizing creativity and creative
cognitive processes to maximize applied learning, and education in the
affective domain.

Kelly
Jackson earned her Associate of Science Degree for the Physical Therapist
Assistant at Clarkson College in 2005.
Kelly
serves as a part-time instructor in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program
at Clarkson College. Her teaching areas include PTA 120 Therapeutic Modalities
I and PTA 210 Therapeutic

Modalities
II. She also assists with the lab components of PTA 105 Functional Anatomy
for the PTA and PTA 110 Basic Skills.
She also
maintains patient care responsibilities as a practicing Physical Therapist
Assistant for a private physical therapy clinic in Omaha. In this capacity,
she performs outpatient therapy services and home health patient care. She
also has a background in postural restoration techniques.
Kelly
is currently also finishing her Bachelors degree at the University of
Nebraska Omaha with future plans to complete her Masters degree in
psychology.

Dr.
Michael Witte is a native of Nebraska City, Neb. He earned his bachelor's
degree from University of Nebraska-Kearney in Exercise Science and Athletic
Training, and later his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton
University. He has also earned a certificate in Healthcare Systems
Administration (HSA), is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS), and APTA credentialed clinical instructor.

At
Clarkson College Dr. Witte serves as an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapist
Assistant program, as well as Academic Coordinator of Clinical Education
(ACCE).
His
teaching assignments include: PTA 104 Functional Anatomy, PTA 115 Therapeutic
Exercise I, PTA 220, 240 and 245 Clinical Practicum courses, as well as
assisting with selected other courses.
Dr.
Witte's clinical background is in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine and
private practice setting. During his career, he has had the opportunity to
work with collegiate and professional athletes in all sports with emphasis on
track and field, Olympic power lifting, football, volleyball and speed
training camps.
He is
an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a
section member in orthopedics and sports medicine; a member of the Nebraska
Physical Therapy Association (NPTA), National Athletic Trainers Association
(NATA), and National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Future
plans include seeking specialist certification in Orthopedics (OCS), as well
as continuing education in manual therapy and myokinimatic techniques. He
also plans to continue research in the development of community-based
wellness and injury prevention programs.
