Objectives
At the conclusion of this class participants will
be able to:
- Discuss
resident and patient's rights
- Identify
forms of adult abuse and neglect
- Determine
strategies for prevention
- Relate
when and how to report abuse in Nebraska
This course satisfies one hour (1) of training in
procedures for reporting suspected abuse or neglect, including: 004.02C1 The
Requirements of Nebraska Revised Statute 28-372 004.02C2 Residents' Rights as
set forth in 175 NAC 8-003.02F and 175 12-003.02F as required for placement on
the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.
This course is also approved for RNs and LPNs for
one contact hour (1) of continuing nursing education.
Clarkson College is an approved provider of
continuing nursing education by the Nebraska Nurses Association, an accredited
approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on
Accreditation Code# NE06-09C14-18 Iowa #345.
