•   How does someone know which course to sign up for?
It is important for the employee, working with their manager, to determine which level of training they need (beginning, intermediate or advanced). Specific skills are covered in each level. Objectives and skill lists for each course are available online: click here.

•   How does someone register?
On-line registration is now available. An employee needs to: click here. The courses are listed by date. Click on the course and follow the registration prompts. Course information and objectives are provided on each listing. Once the registration is submitted an email is sent to the manager asking to approve or decline the registration. •   Why do I need my employee number and where can I find it?
We request your employee number in order to verify that you are an employee of The Nebraska Medical Center as well as distinguish between many employees with the same name. In the era of identify theft, it is important not to utilize someone’s social security number as a means of personal identification. An employee may find their employee number on their pay stub. It will be helpful for employees to become familiar with their employee number as many other programs within The Nebraska Medical Center such as the Learning Connection are also requesting it.

•   Why would a class be full?
Class size is limited because this is a hands-on course using a computer lab and limited seating is available. You actually work on the computer and follow the lesson as the instructor demonstrates it. Classes will be offered on a regular on-going basis, so there will be many optional dates and times to choose from.

•   May an employee register for one of each class?
Yes, with their manager’s approval.
[Top of page]
•   Will Saturday or evening classes be available?
Classes are currently available on Monday evenings. Additional evening or weekend times will be offered if the demand is sufficient.
