U.S. News & World Report ranked Clarkson College No. 1 out of 101 eligible institutions in the category of 2013 Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs for Veterans.
To ensure academic quality, all schools included in this category first had to be listed in U.S. News & World Report's 2013 Best Online Education Programs rankings, which were released earlier this year. The criteria for this category considered regional program accreditation, faculty credentials, support provided to students, high graduation rates and low debt loads.
The Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs for Veterans rankings reported the following additional information to U.S. News:
Association with the DANTES and SOC groups indicates the institutions pledge to consider granting academic credit for classes and training completed in the military and offer flexibility for distance learners taking courses at several schools.
“Offering the appropriate tools, technologies and tuition savings benefits makes earning an advanced degree a practical option for veterans,” said Dr. Patricia Coyle-Rogers, Graduate Nursing Program Director. “And we [Clarkson College] do not consider it an obligation but an honor to show our gratitude and support for both the active-duty troops and military veterans who have served our country.”
