Doctor in Health Care Education & Leadership (Ed.D.)
The Clarkson College Ed.D. program is designed for individuals with a master’s degree in a variety of areas such as social work or health care business and are seeking a doctoral degree to enhance their expertise in academic and administrative roles.
The 45 credit hour Ed.D. program offers both part- and full-time study options and provides students a foundation in the following areas to help strengthen their ability to implement innovative educational approaches:
- outcomes assessment
- learning theories
- curriculum and program development
- transformational leadership
- applied research
Full-time students are able to complete the Ed.D. program entirely online in as few as eight semesters. At the culmination of the program, you will complete a dissertation that demonstrates your ability to translate scientific research into methods for improving health care practice through education.
As a graduate of the Ed.D. program, you will have the distinct skill set needed to assess, design, implement and evaluate an educational process or program in both the academic and practice settings.
