Abuse & Neglect Course
Be prepared to protect the rights of patients and develop strategies for prevention. After completing this course, you will know how to identify various forms of adult abuse and neglect and will understand when and how to report abuse in Nebraska.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this class, participants will be able to:
- Discuss resident and patient's rights.
- Identify forms of adult abuse and neglect.
- Determine strategies for prevention.
- Relate when and how to report abuse in Nebraska.
This course satisfies one hour (1) of training in procedures for reporting suspected abuse or neglect, including: 004.02C1 The Requirements of Nebraska Revised Statute 28-372 004.02C2 Residents' Rights as set forth in 175 NAC 8-003.02F and 175 12-003.02F as required for placement on the Nebraska Nurse Aide Registry.

All class sessions are held at Clarkson College located at 101 South 42nd Street in Omaha, Neb.
