Completing the Clarkson College Medication Aide course opens the door to a career providing medications in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living centers, intermediate care facilities for the mentally disabled, schools, childcare settings or patient homes.
A Medication Aide is trained to work under the direct supervision of a caretaker or licensed health care professional.
The course prerequisites are as follows:
Applicants need to be aware of the eligibility requirements for taking the state certification testing and employment. Students successfully completing the course receive a certificate of completion from Clarkson College and qualify to take the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services Medication Aide written examination.
