Application Information and
Deadlines
If you
are graduating from high school, a high school graduate or completed the
General Education Exam (GED), you should apply for admission as a first time
freshman.
The
following application materials are necessary to complete your application for
admission.
- Application Fee: The
application fee of $35 is nonrefundable. Mail a check or money order to
the Office of Enrollment Services payable to Clarkson College.
- Transcripts: Request official transcripts from your high school
and all postsecondary institutions you have attended or are currently
attending to the Office of Enrollment Services. Clarkson College will not
accept transcripts issued to the student. Post secondary institutions
include college and universities, professional, technical and business
schools regardless of whether or not credit was earned.
- Essay: Typed 2-3
page motivational essay.
- ACT or SAT scores:
Required if you graduated high school within the last two
years. Information regarding these
tests is available in most high school guidance offices, or on the web at:
www.act.org or www.collegeboard.com.
- Nurse Aide Registry: Required for Practical Nursing, Traditional BSN and
Fast Track BSN. Active status on a Nurse Aide Registry. For
information about a nurse aide and the registry, please contact the
Nebraska Health and Human Services System. This link will take you to
complete information about a nurse aide and requirements for the Nebraska
Registry: www.hhs.state.ne.us/crl/nursing/na/na.htm. If you are currently on the
Nebraska Registry, please go to: www.nol.org/LISSearch/search.cgi
to access the License Information System Search. Print off your registry
details and submit to the Office of Enrollment Services at Clarkson
College.
Additional application
materials are
required for the following programs:

Physical
Therapist Assistant
- Submit PTA
Program Application Information Packet and Forms (PDF format).
·
Practical Nursing - Prerequisites successfully
completed with a "C" or higher: Nutrition, and Human Growth and Development.
·
Radiologic Technology - The 2008 deadline has passed. RT
Program Application Information Packet and Forms for 2009 will be available
soon. Please contact Admissions
for more information.
Deadlines
All
application materials must be received prior to the deadline. Applications may
be held over to be reviewed at a later deadline at the discretion of the College.
Wait lists for programs will be formed as necessary. Please
note: Not all programs
have specific deadlines and are reviewed as applications become complete.
- Traditional BSN Application Deadlines: Fall: November 30, January
15, March 1 and May 1*. Spring: October 1. *Fall 2008 Deadline has been extended! Apply Now!
- Physical Therapist Assistant: March 1.
- Practical Nursing: January 15, March 1 and May 1.
- Radiologic Technology: March 1, 2009.
- Online: Application materials must be received prior to the
registration deadline. Students enrolling in an Online Education course
are required to register for the course(s) two weeks prior to the first
day of the term.
- On-campus: Application materials must be received no later than
one week prior to the first day of any given semester.
Scholarship Information
The
priority deadline for the fall scholarships is March 1, 2008. The priority deadline for spring scholarships is October 1, 2008. The scholarship
