The Post-Graduate DNP option builds on the foundation of the advanced practice role for licensed nurse practitioners and nurse anesthetists. BSN to DNP

The BSN to DNP option builds on your knowledge as a Bachelor’s degree-prepared nurse to help you advance your role within the nursing field. You’ll earn your Doctoral degree upon completion of your course of study, and you can choose from specialty tracks in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner that will prepare you for an advanced practice role.

BSN to DNP - Nurse Anesthesia

The Clarkson College Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Nurse Anesthesia option combines a strong anesthesia academic curriculum with extensive clinical practice providing individualized anesthesia care across the life span. In addition, the nurse anesthetist program's curriculum includes courses in leadership, health care policy and the evidence-based process to prepare tomorrow's CRNA to navigate the complexities of health care to improve patient outcomes. The full-time, front-loaded degree option consists of a 20-month didactic phase and 16-month clinical practicum emphasizing our College Values of Learning, Integrity, Caring, Excellence and Commitment. Upon completion, students will be able to demonstrate proficient skills in critical thinking, effective communication, professionalism, technology proficiency and caring for a diverse patient population. The goal of the nurse anesthetist program is to produce proficient, full-service, certified nurse anesthesia providers capable of independent practice.

Graduate degree-prepared nurses gain academic preparation in the areas of Nursing Healthcare Administration, Nursing Education, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through our Post-Graduate certificate options. Each track offers an online curriculum and the opportunity to complete any clinical requirements in or near your community.
