Success Center
The Success Center provides college-based resources and support services to Clarkson College students. The Success Center operates under the philosophy that all students, regardless of previous success, can and should become better learners.
Hours of Operation
Monday, Thursday and Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST
Tuesday – Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST
Personal & Professional Counseling
Clarkson College recognizes that many students struggle with issues such as test anxiety; balancing college, family and job; interpersonal and professional relationships; self-discovery and personal transformation; financial struggles; and more. Students are offered professional and personal counseling as a support.
Services
As a student, you will be able to take advantage of the free services provided by the Success Center throughout your collegiate career. These include:
- Tutoring
- Career and personal counseling
- Job postings, placement agencies, Internet career sites and employers
- Resources for resume and cover letter writing, interviewing skills and networking
- Materials for improving study skills, test taking, test anxiety, multiple-choice exams, note taking, building your self-esteem, stress management, dealing with difficult people, motivation and goal setting
- Tutorials on computer skills, how to use a computer, how to use the Internet and Microsoft Office
- Typing tutorials: Learn to type, refresh or improve your typing skills
- Board and certification review materials for the Family Nurse Practitioner Exam, NCLEX-PN, several review series for the NCLEX-RN, PTA and Radiography
- Workshops focusing on student needs
- Day care referral service
