Purpose
This
program will provide information on the health care response to Prenatal
Alcohol Exposure regarding identification, assessment and intervention.
Program Objectives
At the
conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Examine
the foundations of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) through the ages.
·
Define
alcohol screening and the five drinking patterns.
·
Illustrate
the models of addiction.
·
Describe
the biomedical effects of alcohol on brain development.
·
Identify
Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS) screening methods, diagnosis and treatment.
