Leigh Nass: Recipient of the Diamond Scholarship

                       

          Receiving the Diamond Scholarship really helped Leigh Nass. She said, "Receiving this scholarship has meant that I have been able to attend Clarkson without being required to take out massive student loans.  It has also helped motivate me to keep my academic performance high throughout my four years of school."

          She also has had nothing but positive things to say about Clarkson College, "I have had a great experience at Clarkson.  I feel like Clarkson has really prepared me for my career in nursing by the scientific knowledge base that is provided as well as the excellent clinical experiences. Also, all of the teachers and instructors have been excellent and they have always demonstrated a caring attitude for the students," Nass said.

          After choosing the nursing program because of the environment she is getting to live out her dream. "I chose the field of nursing because I had been very sick and hospitalized as child.  Then growing up I saw pictures of me and my nurses and heard stories about how wonderful and caring they were, and I wanted to opportunity to provide that care for someone else.  Also, nursing has so many career options that it can always been fresh and exciting," said Nass.
