SGA Formal Meeting: February 12, 2008

 

President called meeting to order at 4:35 P.M.

Amber gave the bear to Kelley and added dangly earrings.

 

OFFICE REPORTS

Katie Nichols, President: cleaned up SGA office

Kaitlin Schrader, Secretary: getting organized, typing minutes, sending reminders

Molly Bisenius, PR Chair: doing newsletter

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

What's Up:

·         Student spotlight is going to be Erica Long, written by Molly Bisenius

·         Article on the RT conference, written by Jill, Jennifer, and Sarah

·         Article on body phantoms, written by an RT student

·         Mardi Gras Recap Article by Becky H.

·         Hockey Night Article by Jamie Jensen

·         Faculty Spotlight will be Kitty, written Kaitlin S.

·         Articles are due February 20 to Nicole Bonk or Kelsey

·         Also Marketing is looking for student to sit on newsletter board.

 

Recycling:

·         Reminder to use trash sacks in the bins

·         New bin in SC that Chuck found for us also need to be emptied.

 

Town Hall Meeting:

·         Can't get schedules to match up so we are cutting out the spring THM

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

New Member (Nikki):

·         BSN representative

·         Wants to get more involved and learn from the upperclassman

·         Voted and approved as a new member, will be informed following meeting

 

Election Policies and Procedures:

·         Handed out copies of the SGA Election Rules and Regulations with proposed corrections underlined.

·         Will vote on corrections at next rep meeting

 

Bylaws:

·         Handed out copies of the SGA Bylaws with proposed corrections underlined

·         Will vote on corrections at next rep meeting

 

Committee Reports:

SPC:

·         Trying to get a hold of the LPN organization

SLC:

·         Reminder to get invitations out to your organizations ASAP

·         RSVP's need to be in by March 24th

Election:

·         Election Theme: All aboard the leaderSHIP!

·         Election board includes Alissa, Amber, and Katie

·         Looking for any volunteers

 

ANNOUNCEMENTS

·         Great Job on recycling!!!

·         SLC and SPC will both meet shortly following this rep meeting.
