will be housed in the new center.
"The new center will
allow us to provide professional development and basic life support services
that include a broad spectrum of programs and courses intended for adult
learners," said Judi Dunn, director of professional development.
The cost of the
remodeling and equipment for this new office and training space was provided
through a grant from the United States Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD).
"Through the HUD grant it
has made it possible for us to utilize a new training center for Basic and
Advanced Life Support Training for health care professionals as well as the
community for those that are interested in having CPR training," said Liz
Svatos director of basic and advanced life support. "We are very excited to
have this new facility. The new center will allow us to provide a centralized
location for training and customer service."
The Office of
Professional Development offers continuing education opportunities for adult
learners including Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Nurse Refresher and Paid
Dining Assistant courses. The Basic and Advanced Life Support program offers
