Clarkson College recently ranked No. 17 in the GraduatePrograms.com Fall 2014 Online Nursing Grad Rankings.
Enumerating the 2014 best graduate programs in the country is based on ratings and reviews posted by current or recent graduate students on graduateprograms.com between Sept. 1, 2012 and Sept. 30, 2014.
Ratings are based on a 10-star system and cover a variety of student topics, including academic competitiveness, career support, financial aid and quality of network. Clarkson College received an overall average of 8.62 stars from reviewers.
Compared to the other 24 colleges and universities listed in the rankings, Clarkson College is among the smallest in terms of enrollment. “The strategies and outcomes that the students acknowledged in this survey prove that ‘big’ is not necessarily best,” said Clarkson College Graduate Nursing Program Director Dr. Patricia Coyle-Rogers. “The ranking and reviews show that our hard work, as faculty, does pay off.”
GraduatePrograms.com compared the scores across all ranked schools for the Online Nursing Grad category and translated them into the final ranking of No. 17 for Clarkson College. Each program had to receive a minimum threshold of reviews by current or recent students of the program in order to be ranked.

This is not the first national ranking received by the Clarkson College Graduate Nursing program. Over the last several years, U.S. News & World Report ranked the program in the category of Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs. Dr. Coyle-Rogers attributes the ongoing success of the program to its faculty. “Their work, perseverance, and focus on the students are second to none.” Support from other key players within the College, including the dean of nursing and administration, has also made a notable impact.
