Interprofessional education (IPE) promotes teamwork and improves collaborative skills for positive healthcare outcomes. Clarkson College students optimize their roles within an interdisciplinary team by completing IPE 301, an eight-module course designed to provide an overview of health care professionals’ roles and responsibilities. IPE 301 allows students to practice providing ethical, client-centered care while understanding the importance of personal accountability and professionalism.
Interprofessional education (IPE) is when students from two or more health care professions learn with, from, and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of patient care. We believe that IPE goes far beyond healthcare as we all work together to create vibrant, thriving communities.
Interprofessional education (IPE) at Clarkson College prepares students to collaborate across health care disciplines—an essential skill in today’s team-based care environments. Through IPE 301, students complete interactive modules and participate in hands-on activities focused on knowledge, service, and community engagement. Outcome data shows measurable growth in communication, collaboration, and understanding of professional roles.
