Apply for Financial Aid

Nearly 70 percent of all Clarkson College students receive some form of financial assistance every year. Use the steps below to apply for financial aid and stay on track in receiving your funds.

Steps of the Financial Aid Process

  1. File Your FAFSA
    • Clarkson College requires your Social Security Number (SSN) to process your FAFSA. Please contact the Enrollment and Advising Office or the Financial Aid Office to ensure your SSN is on file.
    • The Clarkson College FAFSA school code is 009862.
  2. Monitor Your Clarkson College Email
    • If selected for additional financial aid verification, you will receive an email with instructions and required forms from a Financial Aid counselor.
    • Submit all requested documents promptly to avoid delays in processing your financial aid.
  3. Accept Your Aid Offer
    • You will receive a financial aid award notification via your Clarkson College email.
    • You may accept, decline, or reduce your financial aid offer.
  4. Complete Your Loan Documents
    • If you accept loans, you must complete Entrance Loan Counseling and a Master Promissory Note (MPN) before funds can be disbursed.

    • To remain eligible for financial aid, students must meet specific requirements such as U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen status. Additional requirements may apply.

Clarkson College Financial Aid counselors may use professional judgment to adjust a student’s cost of attendance or financial aid award based on special or unusual circumstances. Students may request a special circumstance appeal on a case-by-case basis. Please contact a Financial Aid counselor for information about required documentation.
