Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. College COVID Vaccination Update

On Thursday, August 12, 2021, Nebraska Medicine issued a vaccine requirement for all employees. As a hospital-affiliated, non-profit private college with Nebraska Medicine, Clarkson College employees (faculty, staff, administration, casual employees) are employees of Nebraska Medicine and will either receive the vaccine or file for an exemption.

At this time, Clarkson College is not mandating vaccines for students. Please be aware that clinical site rotations may have vaccine requirements and, as in our current processes to attend clinicals, those students are required to show proof of vaccination or complete an exemption waiver.
