Degree Overview

The Clarkson College online Psychology certificate program is designed for students interested in the study of human behavior and cultural issues related to mental health and health care.

The online 20-credit hour Psychology certificate focuses on the psychological, social, and behavioral factors that influence an individuals’ mental health. Individual psychosocial behavior and development are shaped by social, political, cultural, and geographical context. Program curriculum acknowledges these complexities to provide a well-rounded educational experience.

In the final semester, students complete a fieldwork experience course. Hands-on, experiential learning opportunities benefit and enrich program coursework. This experience will help translate learning from beyond the classroom and into a future career.

Students interested in this program can apply their certificate in a variety of fields. After completing the certificate, continue with the Psychology Bachelor's degree or diversify with one of our other on-campus and online programs.
