Graduation Information

Fall 2020 Graduation Update

As you are aware, our region is seeing an increase in positive COVID-19 cases. This past Tuesday, the Governor of Iowa made a proclamation regarding large social gatherings in the state of Iowa which goes into effect at least until December 10, requiring social gatherings to be limited to 15 guests or less. This impacts our upcoming graduation ceremony scheduled at the Mid-America Center on December 12. Based on this news, and making sure we recognize this significant accomplishment in your life while keeping the safety of our graduates and guests our top priority, we have decided that it is best to offer our graduates alternatives in lieu of the December 12 ceremony.

Graduate Celebration – December 11, 2020

On Friday, December 11, we will hold a unique Graduation Celebration on campus in Howard Hall with designated times for each graduate to walk across our graduation stage, wear regalia and receive your diploma. This includes an opportunity for a photograph on stage and an individual, professional portrait available for purchase post-graduation, as offered at our traditional graduation ceremony. If you did not rent regalia, please plan to wear professional attire for your photo session. If you choose not attend this celebration you will receive your diploma and honor cords in the mail by December 22, 2020.

Spring Graduation 2021 Invite

We also invite you to participate and walk in our spring 2021 graduation ceremony to commemorate this important life event. Information regarding the spring ceremony will be distributed in February of 2021 to your Clarkson College email.

Although this year has brought many challenges, it is your resilience that has driven your success, and we want you to know that all of Clarkson College is proud of you! We hope these alternative options to celebrate your achievements provide you a positive and memorable experience honoring your dedication.

For questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to registrar@clarksoncollege.edu.

Graduation Applications

In order to graduate, an online graduation application must be submitted to the Registrar’s office. It is suggested that students request a graduation audit at least two semesters prior to graduation. The applicant's coursework will be audited and a written notification of any remaining coursework will be mailed to the student.
