Welcome Week | Clarkson College

Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. This commitment to excellence has and always will remain a defining quality of Clarkson College.

Alumni

Show us your creative talents by entering our Welcome Week t-shirt design contest. Send us your original designs for the chance to win a $50 gift card and be featured on the front of our fall 2020 Welcome Week t-shirt.

Submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

T-shirt artwork must include “Welcome Week 2020” in its design.
A maximum of two colors can be used in the t-shirt design (does not include t-shirt material color).
The College logo and Mission will appear on the t-shirt back and will not need to be included in the student-created design. The Clarkson College Marketing department will create this portion of the shirt.
The final design may be edited slightly in order to ensure it can be printed on the shirt.
If the term “Clarkson College” is used, the logo will replace said terminology in the final design. Please note that Clarkson College should only be referred to as “Clarkson College” or “the College.” The College should never be referred to in the possessive tense such as “Clarkson’s” or “Clarkson College’s.” Inaccurate references to Clarkson College will be corrected in the final design.
Designs must be in good taste. Inappropriate or drug/alcohol-related artwork will not be accepted.

Contest Rules

Participants must be a current Clarkson College student in order to enter the contest. Designs must be submitted by midnight on July 31. The Student Government Association (SGA) student members will select the top three designs fitting the eligibility rules. From Aug. 4– Aug. 7, all current students will be able to vote on their favorite among the top three designs via the Clarkson College student Facebook page. The design that garners the most likes will move into production Aug. 10. The winning participant will receive a free t-shirt of his/her design.

On-campus students will receive a free t-shirt featuring the winning design during Welcome Week activities beginning Aug. 31. Online students will have the opportunity to win a free t-shirt via the Clarkson College student Facebook page.
