The curriculum for the certificate option provides foundational didactic knowledge of the advanced vascular and cardiac interventional radiography modalities, allowing students and/or employees the opportunity to gain employment. It also prepares individuals to sit for ARRT post-primary boards (Cardiac Interventional or Vascular Interventional).
Following the completion of the certificate option, graduates can gain increased opportunities in the medical imaging profession. Employment is available in a cardiac interventional radiography department, cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab or vascular interventional department (Interventional Radiology).
Start dates are available in spring, summer and fall. All classes are available 100% online with cross-sectional classes offered both online or in a hybrid format. Applicants must be ARRT-registered and a certified technologist, or a current student in a radiography program.
